The village can be dated to at least 1355, is situated at the foot of the Lefka Ori and approx. 5 km south of Vrysses. It is a farming village with sheep and goat breeders and the farmers also cultivate olive and carob trees.

There is a baker, a cheese factory and a school for the few children of the village. The inhabitants meet in the old kafenio in the village square and for daily shopping one can find everything in the village of Vrysses.
